1. What is safe mode ?
Safe Mode is a special way for Windows to load when there is a system-critical problem that interferes with the normal operation of Windows. Safe mode usually refers to a diagnostic mode used by a computer operating system (OS). It can also refer to a mode of operation by application software.
2. What the purpose of safe mode ?
The purpose of Safe Mode is to allow you to troubleshoot Windows and try to determine what is causing it to not function correctly. Once you have corrected the problem, then you can reboot and Windows will load normally.
3. How to enter safe mode in Windows XP ?
For counter the troubleshooting in your Windows XP, you need to enter Safe Mode. Typically, you would press the F8 key during the boot process to enter Windows XP Safe Mode but that can be very difficult in some cases depending on the problem you're having.
The other way to get you into the Windows XP Safe Mode easier using the System Configuration Utility, sometimes called "msconfig". Here's the steps :
Type msconfig in run window and click OK, will shown below
The System Configuration Utility program will be opened, shown below
Be aware to make changes in System Configuration Utility to avoid causing serious problem
Click on BOOT.INI tab in the top of System Configuration Utility window
Check the /SAFEBOOT checkbox and click OK You will be prompted to choose Restart, that means PC will restart immediately or Exit Without Restart, which means will close the window and give a change to restart it manually
After restart, PC will automatically start in Windows XP Safe Mode
When finish the work with Safe Mode, click on START again, and then click RUN
Type msconfig in the run window and then click OK
The System Configuration Utility window will be opened
Choose Normal Startup and then click OK, shown below
You will be prompted to choose Restart, that means PC will restart immediately or Exit Without Restart, which means will close the window and give a change to restart it manually
After restart, PC will automatically run Windows XP normally.

The best way to improve the Operating System such as Windows XP, without installed anymore is repair. Following steps to repair Windows XP: 4. You will arrive on the page the Windows XP Licensing Agreement. Then press F8. Screen shown below. 6. After the screen changed like below, press [R] for Repair 7. Windows XP will copy the necessary files to your Hard Drive to begin the installation and will then reboot. You will see the message that informs you to "Press any key to boot the CD". Do not press any keys this time just wait a few seconds and the Windows Startup Screen will be displayed. Following this you will be greeted by the Windows XP Setup Screens. 7. This is the last step. Just wait until the installation finished. Your XP has been repaired and nothing changed with your Windows XP before. Have a pleasure with it.
1. Prepare the Windows XP bootable CD version which according to the version that has been previously installed on our PC or notebook. There is a related post to check the version of Windows XP.
2. Insert the CD, do the boot with the boot option to CD ROM first in the Bios. Usually using the F8, F12, or other, for different types, type, brand or a PC or notebook.
3. We will arrive at the blue screen below. Press [ENTER], NOT [R].

Press Ctrl+Alt+Delt, delete running program : wgatray.exe
Delete file WgaTray.exe in c:\windows\system32
Delete file WgaTray.exe in c:\windows\system32 \dllcache
Enter to regedit and delete folder "WGALOGON"
Location in :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows
Delete WgaTray.exe
Alternatively if the above steps still do not solve the problem
Delete all files in the directory below :
\WINDOWS\system32\ WgaLogon. dll
\WINDOWS\system32\ WgaTray.exe
\WINDOWS\system32\ LegitCheckContro l.dll
